What is SLICE?
Slice is an innovative EU based secure communication and collaboration platform.
Where is SLICE based?
SLICEs headquarters is in Zagreb, Croatia and our servers are handled by Contabo GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany.
Who is it for?
Slice is intended for private and professional use by individuals and businesses alike.
What sets SLICE appart from other chat platforms?
SLICE is set apart from each platform in a different way, whether that is by emphasizing security where others compromise it, or adding functionality where others lack it, but our main difference from all platforms is our proprietary technology and architecture. The code behind slice has been written from the ground up as a part of a larger system called Warp, providing a fresh experience in functionality with security and privacy at its core.
How do I sign up for SLICE?
By joining our waitlist (link it here) participants are automatically pre-registered for SLICE once it is released. The process itself is guided by tutorials and intuitive interface, making it as seamless as possible.
Who can I message and who can message me?
SLICE is designed as a closed ecosystem environment to ensure the same level of security for everyone. When you create your account, you will be assigned a number of invitations to create your network, and you will be able to join existing networks.
Can I use SLICE for group collaboration and teamwork?
Yes! Slice’s collaborative features provide tools for efficient and productive teamwork. Structuralizing teams and assigning roles offers users the ability to tailor solutions for specific and general tasks within a group project.
Can I use SLICE for professional purposes?
SLICE is designed to help you manage your internal business structure and maintain clear and secure communication with your key customers, partners, and colleagues, therefore making it ideal for small and medium businesses with an established client base.
Security
Is Slice safe to use for sensitive conversations?
Yes! Within SLICE your conversations and data are rigorously encrypted, and on top of that our proprietary architecture and security features allow our clients a piece of mind when it comes to confidentiality and privacy of their communication.
Can I use Slice anonymously?
Yes! When creating your SLICE account, no personal information or identification is required, and for joining our waitlist campaign only an email address is needed whereas we strongly suggest to create one at protonmail service. We believe that the user anonymity is a fundamental right, and if our clients want to disclose personal information they can do so of their free will, and not the other way around.
How do you encrypt data?
Messages within SLICE are encrypted as you type them with a 256-bit encryption, and as such are encrypted again for transport over the network, ensuring that your conversations remain incomprehensible to everyone but you (even our technical team and server maintenance)
Are my messages stored securely on Slice’s servers?
In SLICE, your messages and data are stored encrypted within your virtual drive and are only visible to you. Additionally, the physical servers that host your virtual drives are stored in a top Tier (4) EU data center, ensuring the highest standard of data storage.
Is Slice open-source?
No. As much as open sourcing software became a staple of transparency and good practice, the risks outweigh the benefits when it comes to security. Publishing the code for everyone to see makes it easier to exploit and compromise it. Slices code is a proprietary technology with almost no use of third-party components, and remaining Closed Source, ensures another level of security when it comes to cyberattacks.
What ensures the trustworthines of SLICE
By creating a SLICE account, you are becoming the owner and administrator of your Virtual Drive that holds all of your data, which is encrypted to you in the same way the messages are, making it inaccessible to anyone but you, even our technicians. Moreover, having direct access to it allows you to delete and manage any and all content within it at an administrator level.
Is SLICE compliant with GDPR and other data protection regulations?
As an EU company, we are fully GDPR compliant, and we are excluded from external data infringement policies such as FISA.
Can I delete my messages?
Yes! One of our key security features is the ability to delete your messages and data beyond recovery, in addition we also have several functions that allow you to delete whole branches and/or entire accounts with a push of a button, making it easy to react in a critical situation.
Is my data sold to third-party advertisers?
Absolutely not. At SLICE, we respect your privacy above all else. We firmly believe in not monetizing user data. Your conversations, files, and data remain confidential, even to us, making it impossible to share it with third party advertisers.
Payment
Can I use Slice for free, or is it entirely subscription-based?
Having an account on SLICE requires a monthly subscription, it allows you to create your network and invite people to join it. For those who are invited into networks the onboarding is free, but they are limited to the network they have been invited to, unless they upgrade to a paid account. We have devised 4 separate subscription plans to suit your needs based on the size of your network.
Can i try SLICE for free?
Yes, we have free trial accounts which are intended for users to get acquainted with our user experience. The free trial accounts are limited in terms of network size and additional features but maintain the functionality and security of SLICE.
How do I choose my subscription plan?
Each plan is tailored to address the needs of our clients based on the size, scope and relation of their teams. Based on your preferences you choose the subscription plan that best suit you. read more about it here (link to plans explained)
Can I cancel my Slice subscription at any time?
Yes! Subscriptions are renewed on a monthly basis, and you can cancel it any time you want.
Are there any discounts available for long-term subscriptions?
Yes! For long-term subscriptions we offer exclusive discounts of 10% for 6 months and 20% for 12 months respectively. On top of that we are offering numerous activities and contests with their own benefits and discounts which are all stackable.
What payment methods are accepted for Slice subscriptions?
At this point we accept all credit cards through Monri Payment Gateway, and we are working on implementing cryptocurrency payments and other alternative methods.

Can I use SLICE on multiple devices?
Yes, absolutely. SLICE is designed with versatility in mind. It is optimized for both mobile and desktop devices, ensuring you have secure access to your chats and data, whether you’re at home, at the office, or on the move.
Is it available on my device?
SLICE is available through our webpage as a standalone apk for Android users, and as a Desktop interface for Windows
Can I access Slice on the web without installing the app?
SLICE is fully accessible on any web browser as a webpage with all of it functionalities intact.
Can I customize my SLICE interface?
Certainly! We understand that every individual or business has unique needs. That’s why SLICE offers customizable user interfaces, enabling you to set up and navigate the platform in a way that’s most comfortable and efficient for you.
Can I migrate my chats and media from other messaging apps to Slice?
No! For security and anonymity reasons SLICE does not allow connecting or syncing with any other messaging service.
Is Slice implementing assistive technologies for users with disabilities?
Yes! Our AI assisted NLI allows speech to text recognition and management.
